WHO WE ARE

Pan African Movement or Global Pan African Movement (GPAM) is a mass movement informed by Pan Africanist values, ideals and objectives, aims at promoting unity under the banner of Pan Africanism among African peoples within the Six Regions of Africa as defined in the Constitutive Act of the African Union with an ultimate aim of uniting Africa under a union Government of peoples.

Special Message from our Patron

The 7th Pan African Congress, hosted by H.E. President Yoweri K. Museveni, took place in 1994 in Kampala, Uganda. This significant event gathered African leaders, intellectuals, and activists to discuss the continent’s development, unity, and progress. The congress focused on issues such as political integration, economic cooperation, and the empowerment of African nations. It also aimed to strengthen Pan-African solidarity, celebrate Africa’s achievements, and address challenges like poverty, conflict, and climate change. The gathering showcased Uganda’s commitment to fostering continental unity and development under President Museveni’s leadership.

Global Pan African Movement believes that African peoples both on the African
continent and in the Diaspora share not merely a common history but a common destiny.

MISSION STATEMENT
  1. The mission of the Global Pan African Movement is to organize the Global African Family to build a popular social movement dedicated to the realization of the historical ideals and objectives of Pan Africanism.
  2. To mobilize the Global African Family under the banner of Pan Africanism to develop and express our strength through unity, independence, social justice, economic and political democracy, solidarity and freedom.
  3. The Global Pan African Movement is committed to the destruction of Imperialism and the elimination of its global network of Euro-centric ideological and cultural hegemony and militarist triumphalism.
  4. To recognize the dynamic essence and role of culture and rejects all forms of cultural imperialism especially Euro-centric cultural hegemony. We therefore work for the deconstruction and removal of all institution, ideologies and false
  5. historical narratives that negate and distort the humanity, dignity and historical role of Black /African Peoples’ contribution to humanity from antiquity to the present day 21st century.
  6. To bring to fruition an all-African Union Government that has the power and moral fortitude to recognize its’ responsibility to protect the intrinsic human liberties and civil rights of all African peoples globally and act accordingly.
